Grade 4

8/8 – it’s really the same as 4/4 but the quavers take on a life of their own, and I’ve grouped them unusually into 3 + 5 for an interesting rhythmical point of difference. Using 8/8 also makes for a smoother transition into 9/8 and back again. Watch the video and you’ll soon get the idea.
