This unusual title came from my friend, Joy Stephenson. Sometimes a good title is all it takes to get my creative juices flowing!

This piece means a lot to me. It poured out of me on a day I was feeling a bit blue - hence the 'blues' vibe threading through the music.

This could easily be written by a Romantic composer - I've just given it some subtle modern twists here and there. Try to shape the melody, the dynamics are just an overall guide.

A simple-sounding song with some hidden challenges. Watch the left hand, which descends a full octave of C major scale at the start. Towards the end, the right hand has to perform a similar trick.

A bold piece for those who like to declare their presence! Also a useful piece for reinforcing understanding of fifths and triads.

This piece is a lot of fun to play. The phrasing in bars 15 and 16 is challenging, but worth the effort!

One of my adult students hurt her right arm a while back, and she's taking a break from piano while she recovers. Or at least that's what she thought...No excuses with this piece!

Note the use of treble clef for the left hand. There are lots of opportunities to show off how good you are at dynamics and articulation.

Study the phrasing carefully as it gives the piece its character. In bars 15 and 16, the notes with crosses mean 'unpitched sound' - so you can clap, as I do in the video, click your fingers, tap your knees - you decide!

If your piano has a sticky E flat key, this piece might be a problem! I think it's one of my favourites since staring Pianotunes in June. I hope you like it too.

Everyone knows snaggopoli are sneaky. They creep into the dark corners of my kitchen cupboards. You'll need to be quite sneaky when you play this piece - your hands will need to sneak under and over each other. Take care!

Watch out for the ties in this piece - especially when the tie is across the bar line and another note is added to it.
